OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER

WHAT IS OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER (OCD)?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by unwanted thoughts or behaviors that seem impossible to stop or control. Typically, individuals who suffer from OCD are troubled by obsessive thinking patterns, such as a recurring worry that you forgot to turn off the oven or the need to turn on and off the light a certain number of times before walking into a room. You may also suffer from uncontrollable compulsions, such as the need to wash your hands over and over.
