Naomi Ashkenazy is a Clinical Social Worker, licensed Couple and Family Therapist and Psychotherapist. She is a graduate of McGill University where she obtained her Bachelors of Psychology and Social Work, and Masters of Social Work, having done her internship in Child Psychiatry at the Jewish General Hospital. Following her Masters, she completed a post-graduate training at the Jewish General Hospital, Institute of Community and Family Psychiatry where she obtained her certification in Couple and Family Therapy. She currently has a private practice since 2002 and also works as a member of the Transitional Care Team at the Jewish General Hospital, Department of Child Psychiatry, Therapeutic Day Treatment Program. She has over 25 years experience working with children and families, and with women with post-partum depression.
In Naomi’s private practice she provides therapy to individuals, couples and families on a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, and child and adolescent behavioral problems. She implements a psychodynamic, systemic and cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment.
