Dr. Teresa Viola is a licensed psychologist with the OPQ. She obtained her doctorate degree in School/Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. Dr. Viola has over ten years of experience working with preschool and school-age children, adolescents, and their families in hospital, school, and private practice settings. She worked at Summit School, a school for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, she worked at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Feeding Program.
Currently, Dr. Viola specializes in conducting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments across the life span (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, social-emotional and behavioural difficulties). She also provides autism spectrum diagnostic assessments using the ADI-R and ADOS-2, which are considered the gold standards of measures for autism spectrum evaluations. She embraces an interdisciplinary model and collaborates with various professionals. In a caring and supportive environment, Dr. Viola also helps children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, and anger management. Finally, Dr. Viola stays at the forefront of her areas of expertise by attending conferences and workshops.
